How does underfloor heating work?
Very simply loops of pipes are laid in the floor and warm water from a boiler or heat pump circulates through them via a central distribution point to then heat up the surface.
As the floor is larger than a traditional radiator the temperatures produced are consistent and even.
This is commonly known as the wet system of underfloor heating, there is also the electric/dry system, where electric mats are laid and run off your electricity, whilst easy to install running costs can be higher with this choice.
