The main schemes explained
Home Energy Scotland Grant
A grant towards an air or ground source heat pump for Scottish homes, with a higher amount for eligible rural and island properties.
Home Energy Scotland Loan
An optional interest-free loan on top of the grant, to spread the remaining cost of your installation over time.
Extra help
ECO4 support for eligible households on qualifying benefits, until the scheme closes on 31 December 2026, plus 0% VAT on many energy-saving installations.
