Terms of service

These terms apply to work carried out by Total Energy Solutions Scotland Limited (company number SC376461, VAT GB-902808830), 25 Muirfield Grove, Gullane, EH31 2EW.

Quotes

Quotes are free and valid for 30 days. Once we have surveyed the job, the price we quote is the price you pay, unless site conditions change in a way we could not reasonably have seen. If that happens we agree any change with you before continuing.

Our work

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers, oil work by OFTEC registered technicians, and heat pump installations in partnership with our accredited installation partner. We leave your home tidy and provide all relevant certificates and documentation on completion.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless your quote says otherwise. Larger installations may be split into staged payments, which are set out in the quote before work starts.

Guarantees

Manufacturer warranties are registered in your name and passed on in full. Our workmanship guarantee for your job is stated on your quote. Guarantees do not cover faults caused by misuse, third-party interference or lack of recommended servicing.

Cancellation

If you agree a contract with us away from our premises, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer regulations. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point. Outside the cooling-off period, please give us reasonable notice to cancel or rearrange.

Complaints

If something is not right, contact us first and we will put it right. We hold public liability insurance, and nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Gas and oil work is also covered by the Gas Safe Register and OFTEC consumer schemes.
